Hillsong Worship (formerly known as Hillsong LIVE) and Hillsong United (also known as UNITED) are part of the Music ministry of Hillsong Church, called Hillsong Music. However, the main difference between Hillsong Worship and UNITED are their missions.
Hillsong Worship is passionate about equipping and mobilising believers everywhere with Christ-centered songs of God-glorifying worship for the building of the Church. On the other hand, UNITED’s mission is to write songs that “awaken churches and individuals to the fact that we are redeemed and called into the story of God.”
Hillsong Worship started making music in 1983, at Hillsong Church while the UNITED was formed in 1998 as part of Hillsong’s youth ministry
The Hillsong United youth ministry worship team started writing songs and released the album “Everyday” in 1999. Every year the group releases an album and travels around the world for tours and conferences.
