List Of Kings In The Bible In Order

13

We have made you a list of kings mentioned in the Bible for Israel, and when Israel and Judah became separate nations.

King Saul
The first king of Israel, King Saul, was initially a good king (1 Samuel 15), but later fell out of favor with God. Although it would be roughly ten years before David would actually sit on the throne as King, David was chosen to be the next king because Saul never fully obeyed God (1 Samuel 16).

King David
The Jews consider King David to be their favorite king, and Jesus Christ is, of course, descended from him (Matt. 1:6–17). With the Book of Psalms, he rose to become Israel’s greatest earthly king and one of the Bible’s most prolific authors.

King Solomon
After his father, David, passed away, Solomon, who was David’s son, succeeded him as the third king of Israel. In the future, he wed foreign women who turned his heart away from the Lord and toward idolatry, but he would eventually turn around and write the greatest book of wisdom ever: the Book of Proverbs, along with the wisdom writings of the Book of Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon.

Israel Divides
After Israel split into two separate nations, they would eventually fall and be taken into captivity. The nation of Israel would fall into the hands of the Assyrian Empire, and the majority of the nation of what is known as the Northern Kingdom would be taken captive. The Southern Kingdom, or Judah, would remain. Jesus’ saying, “A house divided against itself cannot stand” (Mark 3:25), proved to be true.

  1. Many dares were giving during the 1980″s . I recall 6 to 8 well known preachers that Jesus would come in 1981 . Several said 1984 and 1986 , and then for 1988 . I was just a kid preacher and give in to them . After all these men of God saying these things , who was I going to rebuke these men that had preached for all these popular men . As time went on and 1990″s rolled in I began to grow in the word and the Lord . I knew that no man knew either the day nor the hour that Jesus would be coming in the rapture for him saints . Now that those days and hours are no longer set dates we don”t preach hardly anything of the rapture of the church . Remember Jesus said when men would preach peace then sudden destruction cometh . I believe in the bodily visible rapture of the church . But I do not believe In those who set dates or even say they know . I hold to the conviction that he could rapture the True Church at anytime and any moment to rapture before the tribulation period . I can*t help but chuckle a bit to those who thinks the church will go through period when the Bible is so clear and plain on this subject . Please do not get caught up in the fairy tail that the church is going on to face the time of Jacobs trouble . The rapture of the church is God dealing with the nation of Israels trouble not the Church . We must get back to preaching about the fact that Jesus is coming soon to take the bride home to ever be with the Lord . Do not allow some preacher to convince you that the True Church will go thru the tribulation period . Would you allow some punk beat tp your bride , then rape her over and over again . No a thousand times no . You would do all that’s in your power to stop such an event . The same goes with Jesus and his bride . He would never allow such a thing to happen . And of course there is a mountain of Biblical scriptural and verses to show that the Church of the Living God will take the Bride away before he pours out his judgment on this earth and the Jews !!!!!

    • JESUS will call His children to be with Him when He returns. Not a day or an hour before. There is no such thing as the “secret rapture” where planes suddenly crash from absent pilots or people disappearing out of their clothes. This is not Biblical.

When Christ returns, every eye shall see Him coming on the clouds and the dead in Christ shall rise and those who remain will be caught up to be with Him. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:17 and Revelation 1:7. This will be no secret. Think about it… if Christians are pre-caught up to be with JESUS, who will be caught up to be with Him later? Plus, if people are so called “left behind” to possibly get things right with JESUS so He can come back and get them later as many pre-trib believers think, that would be Christ returning twice which is not Biblical either. People who think that they will be whisked away to avoid the troublesome hour that’s coming, will be surely angry and saddened when they don’t disappear out of their torment of being jailed and faced possibly with death for not taking the mark of the beast.

Many Christians will become apostate because they truly believed in Christ, but they became disappointed because He didn’t secretly rapture them up out of the turmoil of watching their families starve and be mistreated by those who work for satan. The devil is deceiving many. If JESUS had to carry His cross to the end, we must too. Please don’t fall for tge devil’s tricks my friend. Blessings.
