Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is the senior pastor and founder of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), a church with congregation of several thousands of people, and has several Worship centres in neighbouring states.

At least twice as many people as the number of COZA congregation is believed to listen to Pastor Biodun’s  sermons all over the world, including countries like the United States of America, Mexico, and neighbouring African countries.

COZA started out as a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in Ilorin, Kwara State in 1999 with a very small congregation. The church has grown into a megachurch with over 20,000 members and an ever increasing online fellowship.

Along with the headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, the church currently has four branches, in Ilorin, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Dubai. Ilorin branch started in 1999, Abuja in 2008, Lagos in 2012, Port Harcourt in 2016 and Dubai  in 2017.

COZA firmly believes in the philosophy of “Build the people and the people will build the organization.

Via his instagram account, Biodun on December 11, 2017, revealed how things were in the beginning while thanking his wife, Modele Fatoyinbo, for standing by him through those tough times.

He wrote,Babe, we walked the streets of Ilorin together looking for people to preach the gospel to. We didn’t have any car, I had just one trouser, we didn’t have technology or finance to increase our reach, there were holes in your shoes.

“We had to do it one person per time. I’m fully aware that God will reward us for our labour, but I am also thankful to the Methodist Church in Nigeria for presenting us with this Honorific Award for Evangelism! We haven’t lost that same passion and we never will! We are ever committed to winning souls for Christ!
