Gospel singer Kirk Franklin is married to a beautiful lady Tammy Collins and the two have four children, two from their previous marriages.
The two have shown us how to overcome challenges in relationships, considering he has previously been accused of being addicted to porn, and being a serial cheat.
The ‘smile’ singer’s wife has taken to her social media to reveal why her marriage of 21-years works.
Here is what she said;
“I love being his wife but I’m also very intentional about staying his girlfriend! I knew he wouldn’t mind me wearing the flat sandals that I thought about wearing, but I chose to wear the wedges that I know he loves. I pay attention to what makes him smile😉! I share this not because I’ve always done it perfect but I grew to learn the balance. Although sometimes he gets my bonnet lol, he should also get his Boo!
Kirk Franklin has this to say:
Many years ago, I asked the girl that blew my mind the first time I saw her at a swim party when I was eighteen to marry me. Now, I had no idea of the huge weight of seriousness in that request; no one does at the time, but I can tell you, the man, the music, and my ministry would be dead on arrival if I would have never asked the girl of my dreams to marry me. It takes a lot for a man to fall in love, it takes even more for him to STAY in love. I love how my mentor Dr. Tony Evans says it:
“the reason why God commands us ‘till death do us part’ is because it takes that long to get to know someone!”
