Following heavy rainfall for two weeks, the flood situation in Bangladesh has really been worsening.

The water levels at different rivers overflowed their banks, resulting in flooding in ten districts: Sylhet, Sirajganj, Jamalpuru, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Pabna, Borga, Lalmonirhat and Cox’s Bazar.

As the floodwaters rose, all the villagers, including believers of Muslim and Hindu background, were cut off, leaving 200,000 people stranded and facing scarcity of safe water, sanitation, food and shelter. Pastor Jagodish Ray reported that “many believers living in these villages are also stranded and are in need of relief. We need to urgently extend our help to them.”

Don’t forget to always remember Christians in these areas in your prayer that God would always preserve them during this flood and to keep them through the persecutions they are facing.
