How Many Times Is Jesus Mentioned In The Quran?

  1. Well, good. But I suppose the event of the Rapture differ from the Second Coming of the Lord.

In the first, Jesus appears in the cloud, gathering the saints (I Thessalonians 4:16-18, Matthew 24:14) to meet Him in the clouds.

Afterwards, that is, after the event of the rapture, the Antichrist reigns and Jerusalem is ravished (Matthew 24:14-25). This is the period of the Great Tribulation.

Thirdly, then comes the event of the Second Coming where Jesus physically descends upon the earth, His feet touching down on the Mount of Olives, confirming Acts 1:11-12 and Zechariah 14. This is when the Antichrist gets captured with the False prophet at the Battle of Armageddon, east of Jerusalem, and they are both alive cast into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20. The devil is seized and cast into the bottomless pit.

These event sets in the Millennial Reign of Christ (a 1000 year period of peace on earth).

Thereafter comes the Final Battle of Gog and Magog (Revelation 20), where the devil is cast alive into the Lake of Fire.

The Judgment Throne is set, there is a second resurrection and all the dead are judged in their bodies. Those not found written in the Book of Life are also cast into the Lake of Fire where the False Prophet, the Antichrist and Satan are suffering their punishments forever and ever. Death, as a personality, and Hell, his assistant, will also be cast into the Lake of Fire. Hence, the last enemy that will be destroyed is death (1 Corinthians 15:26).

However, the Saints appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ and are rewarded for their labors or reprimanded where necessary, but they will be saved as by one passing through the fire for those whose works were unworthy of glory and precious rewards.

Finally, there will be a New Heaven, a New Earth and a New Jerusalem, the City of God, where will reign righteousness and justice and peace, forever and ever. For there will be everlasting joy, no more deaths or hell, sickness or sorrow, pains or tragedy, for they would have been destroyed forever.
