A boy whom doctors said would be born with severe medical conditions and had little chance of surviving not only lived, but now, four years later, is actually thriving.
Report says when Shelly Wall was pregnant, doctors told her the baby had many health problems, including chromosome abnormalities, spina bifida, and hydrocephalus, which means having excessive fluid in the brain.
Wall and her husband were counseled to abort the baby, but they refused.
“We were offered termination five times,” father Rob Wall said in a documentary made about the miracle child called “The Boy Without a Brain. “It was never an option for us. To me, we wanted to give Noah that chance of life.”
Noah, however, not only survived till birth, but now, four years later, is still doing well.
Doctors did surgery to address the hole in the back of Noah’s head. They also inserted a tube to drain the excess fluid. They now say Noah’s brain is “almost back to normal.”
“Rob and I broke down when we heard the news. It was like a dream. I’ve never known anything like it. Even the consultants were in tears. Every time we see the doctors, they just shake their head. They’re just amazed at what he can do,” Shelly shared.
Noah still needs a wheelchair and braces to get around, but he is a happy child who is amazingly healthy despite the dire predictions the Walls were given before he was born.
