The United States First Lady Melania Trump has caused some real excitement amongst the Christian community after praying at many sites in Rome, and exchanging words with Pope Francis. Her visits included a trip to the Vatican-affiliated Bambino Gesù (Baby Jesus) Hospital. Melania went and prayed in the hospital’s chapel, and spent time with many of the patients.

One such patient was a little Greek boy who was in desperate need of a heart transplant. A heart-warming picture was snapped as the First Lady bent down to greet the young man, reading him a book and holding his hand. She vowed to pray for a new heart for the boy. Then, when she arrived in Belgium, she got some glorious news.

“Upon landing in Belgium, I learned a young boy and his family who had been waiting for a heart transplant was informed that the hospital has found a donor,” she said in a statement, according to The Daily Mail.

“I read a book and held hands with this special little one just a few hours ago, and now my own heart is filled with joy over this news.”

“To spend time speaking to and coloring with children who have such a positive spirit despite illness was an amazing gift,” she said.

“The time I spent with the little ones in the Intensive Care Unit is something I will never forget, and I will pray for each of them daily.”
