The headquarters of Christ Embassy Church located in the Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos State was on Sunday morning, engulfed in an inferno.
The fire which broke out in the early hours of Sunday caused significant damage to the church property, sending shock waves throughout the immediate community and beyond.
Officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service however, are said to have arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has hinted at the possibility of demolishing the Christ Embassy Church if it fails an integrity test. This is just as Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, the President and founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, said it would rebuild a better and bigger structure to replace the affected building.
