JULY — DAY 26: Growing Through Seasons

Devotional:
The Christian life is marked by different seasons. There are times of visible growth and fruitfulness, seasons of waiting, moments of testing, and periods of refreshing. Though these seasons differ, God is faithfully at work in each one.
Ecclesiastes reminds us that God has appointed a time for every purpose. Nothing in the believer’s life is outside His loving care. Every season has a purpose in God’s plan of conforming His children to the image of Christ.
Some seasons are filled with joy, answered prayers, and obvious progress. During these times, believers should give thanks and remain humble, recognizing that every good gift comes from God.
Other seasons may feel quiet or difficult. There may be unanswered questions, delayed expectations, or spiritual dryness. Yet these seasons are not signs that God has abandoned His people. Often, He is doing His deepest work beneath the surface, strengthening faith, deepening dependence, and teaching believers to trust Him more fully.
Just as a tree continues developing its roots during seasons when little fruit is visible, believers continue growing as they remain connected to Christ. Spiritual maturity is often formed in hidden places before it becomes visible to others.
The Holy Spirit never stops His work because circumstances change. Whether in abundance or hardship, He continues renewing the believer’s mind, producing Christlike character, and leading them into deeper fellowship with Jesus.
Believers therefore should not compare their journey with others. God leads each person according to His perfect wisdom. What matters is not how quickly someone appears to grow but whether they are faithfully abiding in Christ.
Christ-Centered Focus:
Every season also invites believers to trust God’s timing. The Father knows exactly what His children need and when they need it. His delays are never without purpose, and His plans are always motivated by love. As believers continue walking with Christ through every season, they discover that His presence remains constant. Their confidence is anchored not in changing circumstances but in the unchanging faithfulness of God.
Conclusion:
Ultimately, every season becomes an opportunity to know Christ more deeply and to grow in His grace. Those who continue abiding in Christ will find that every season contributes to their spiritual maturity.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being faithful in every season of my life. Help me to trust Your timing, remain close to Christ, and yield to the Holy Spirit as You continue Your work in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

- I trust His perfect wisdom and timing.
- The Holy Spirit continues to mature me in Christ.
