An incredible declaration of faith took place last weekend when a crowd of football fans refused to be denied their right to free speech.
Students, parents and fans began to recite the Lord’s prayer at an Alabama high school football game after it was announced over loudspeaker that they would no longer be praying officially before games.

The ban was issued after the university received a letter from leading atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation. “The Supreme Court has continually struck down school-sponsored prayer in public schools,” FFRF Legal Fellow Chris Line wrote to Lee County Schools Superintendent James Edwin McCoy Jr, reports AL.com.
“Moreover, the Supreme Court has specifically struck down invocations given over the loudspeaker at public school athletic events, even when student-led. The court reasoned that because the football game was a school-sponsored event, hosting prayer was a constitutional violation.”
