Video streaming giant Netflix has just dropped the second series of its hit show Stranger Things, and the hype is real. Millions are flocking to the streaming service to binge watch their favorite sci-fi thriller series. But should Christians be avoiding it? That is what VidAngel, a TV filter service thinks.
“Today, VidAngel is releasing new data—based on its exclusive filtering technology—revealing that Netflix’s Stranger Things, Season 2, contains a significant increase in mature content over Season 1,” VidAngel writes at Charisma.
Their findings?
– 43 percent more sexual content
– 43 percent more alcohol and drug use
– 40 percent more language (curse words, blasphemy, crude language)
– 28 percent more violence and gore
Should you think twice about watching the Stranger Things 2 new series?
