Iraqi Christians are beginning to return to their hometown of Qaraqosh following its devastation as a result of ISIS invasion. The ‘Christian ghost town’ has now been liberated from the Islamic militants, and the population is beginning to celebrate their new found freedom.
The Facebook page ‘This is Christian Iraq’ shared a video yesterday with the caption: ”This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
The video shows Iraqi’s dancing in the streets and jubilant music being performed. “People of Baghdeda/ Qaraqosh celebrating the start of the reconstruction and rebuilding of their town,” the video explains.
