Pastor Foluke Adeboye is the wife of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG).
Foluke Adenike Adeboye was born on Tuesday 13th July 1948 to the family of Jacob and Morounfola Adelusi Adeyokunnu. It would appear to be that Pa Jacob was the first son of his father from the royal family and lineage in Ijeshaland, the Owa Obokun Oji, Osun State. Thus, Foluke Adeboye is a princess.
She is the eldest of a family of ten Children.
Mr. Adelusi who was a teacher and a catechist, ensured that all his children were raised up as staunch Methodists. He was reported to be a strict disciplinarian. Mrs. Adelusi on the other hand, was a cloth trader.
Pastor Foluke attended Methodist Girls Primary and Secondary school Ilesha; she proceeded to the United Missionary College (UMC) Ibadan where she graduated from in 1966. Hence, she added more qualifications: a Diploma Certificate from the University of Lagos (Associate Diploma in Education); another Diploma in Religious Studies and a Certificate in Directorate of Schools Studies from the University of Saint John and Mark, Plymouth, United Kingdom.
