A man has been arrested after attacking a priest at a Spanish wedding.
The 22-year-old Moroccan man interrupted the ceremony, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ before lunging at the minister.
The student was bundled out of the Church by groomsmen before being arrested by police at the scene. He will be charged with “disturbing public order, crime against religious feelings and threats.”
“Suddenly, someone started to shout and charged at the altar,” the priest recalled of the incident. “A lot of people, including the bride’s mother, were crying, and there were people who had already jumped out of the pews because we did not know whether this person came alone or not, or if he was armed.”
