JUNE — DAY 7: Freedom from Condemnation

JUNE — DAY 7: Freedom from Condemnation

Date: June 7, 2026

Focus Scripture:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
— Romans 8:1 (KJV)

What You Will Walk Away With:

Devotional:

One of the enemy’s greatest weapons against believers is condemnation. Condemnation keeps people trapped in guilt, shame, fear, and spiritual defeat. But Scripture boldly declares that there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

This is possible because Christ has already dealt with sin through His death and resurrection. The believer’s standing before God is no longer based on personal performance, but on union with Christ.

Condemnation says, “You are rejected.” Grace says, “You are accepted in Christ.” Condemnation pushes people away from God, while the Holy Spirit draws believers closer to Him.

This does not mean believers ignore sin or live carelessly. The Holy Spirit still brings conviction where correction is needed. But conviction and condemnation are not the same.

Condemnation attacks identity and produces hopelessness. Conviction brings clarity, repentance, and restoration. The Spirit corrects because God desires growth and fellowship, not distance.

Many believers struggle because they remain more conscious of failures than of Christ’s finished work. But spiritual growth happens when believers learn to live from their identity in Christ rather than from shame.

Being free from condemnation also changes how believers approach God. Instead of hiding in fear, they can come boldly to Him for mercy, grace, and help. Fellowship with God becomes the place of healing and transformation.

Christ-Centered Focus:

The believer may still face struggles with sins, weaknesses, or temptations, but these do not cancel their relationship with God. The answer is not running from God in shame, but yielding more deeply to His Spirit. Walking after the Spirit means living in dependence on God rather than on the flesh. The Holy Spirit continually leads believers into freedom, maturity, and Christlikeness.

Conclusion:

The Christian life is not sustained through guilt-driven striving. It is sustained through relationship with Christ and the ongoing work of the Spirit within. Ultimately, freedom from condemnation allows believers to grow in confidence, intimacy with God, and spiritual maturity. In Christ, you are no longer condemned—you are accepted and alive in Him.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that I am accepted in Christ. Help me to reject condemnation and to walk closely with You through the Holy Spirit. Strengthen me to live in freedom and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
